1. Storage

First of all, it should be stored in a clean, moisture-free, relatively constant temperature environment, as far as possible away from dust, water and corrosive chemicals. Secondly, avoid vibration as much as possible during storage to avoid damaging the mechanical performance of the bearing. In addition, special attention should also be paid to greased (or sealed) bearings, because the density of grease will change after a long time of storage. Finally, do not unpack and replace the packaging at will, and try to maintain the original packaging to avoid bearing rust and other events.

2. Installation

First, proper installation equipment will save a lot of manpower and material resources; Secondly, due to different types of bearings and different installation methods, the inner ring usually needs interference fit because of shaft rotation. Cylindrical hole bearings are usually pressed in by a press or hot-loaded. In the case of taper hole, it can be installed directly on the taper shaft or with sleeve. Then, when installing to the shell, there is usually a lot of clearance fit, and the outer ring has interference, which is usually pressed in by a press, or there is also a cold shrink fit method after cooling. When dry ice is used as coolant and cold shrink is used for installation, the moisture in the air will condense on the surface of the bearing. Therefore, appropriate anti-rust measures are required.

3. Inspection and Maintenance

Firstly, the inspection can timely find problems such as improper pressing, processing error, and missed inspection in the previous sequence; Secondly, proper lubricant can also contribute to the life of the bearing. The lubricant can isolate the bearing surface, thus reducing friction, protecting metal parts and preventing pollution and impurities.
